Hello!  Welcome to the online home of Ryedale Counselling Service (RCS).

RCS is a project of Ryedale Voluntary Action (RVA), which is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee.  RCS was set-up in 1995 to provide an accessible and confidential counselling service to people, aged 16 upwards, living in Ryedale and, where appropriate, in Scarborough.

Most of the services we provide are free to clients, thanks to the generous support of our funders, but we do invite voluntary donations from clients who self-refer to help the long-term future of our services.

Counselling is typically short-term i.e. up to 8 sessions.  Sessions are normally weekly; lasting between 50 and 60 minutes.  Our specialist counselling service also offers long-term counselling to people who have experienced, or have been affected by, domestic abuse, sexual violence or sexual abuse.

Monday, Wednesday to Friday:     09:30 to 15:30

Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday:    closed
